Them That’s Got Shall Get

Credit cards

Image via Wikipedia

Some of you may remember the lyrics of the Billie Holiday blues song, God Bless the Child:

 “Them that’s got shall get,

“Them that’s not shall lose,

“So the Bible says and it still is news.”

Those lyrics refer to Proverbs 22:7 which warns that, “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”  Them that’s got (the rich) shall get (rule); them that’s not (the poor) shall be ruled, even oppressed—and/or act as “servants” (even slaves) to the rich (those able to lend money).

Given that Proverbs was written almost 3,000 years ago, you can’t argue that the debtor’s dangerous relationship as “servant” or “slave” to the lender is really “news”.

The “news,” if any, is humanity’s persistent addiction to the “high” we call credit and aversion to the subsequent “depression” we call debt.

We know that debt can be dangerous and even self-destructive.  Nevertheless, if you want to catch a man or a nation, bait your trap with credit.

Dr. Nick Begich: HAARP, Mind Control, Alaska & Conspiracy Theories

Scream Cropped

Image via Wikipedia

Fear sells.  When it comes to making sales, fear as almost as effective at attracting customers as scantily-clad women and free money.  Because fear is such an effective motivator and marketing device, I tend to distrust those who rely on fear to “sell” their ideas or products.  I distrust those who “sell” fear.  It’s easy to exaggerate fear in order to make sales (or garner votes).  Such “exaggeration” is necessarily a lie.  I don’t like lies.

More, I don’t like fear (even when it’s seemingly justified by some very intimidating adversary or conditions), because Revelation 21:7-8 offers a “laundry list” of those destined for damnation:

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

That “laundry list” includes “murders,” “liars” and others we might expect to be doomed.  But I was much surprised when I first realized that the first class of people listed for damnation were the “fearful” (other versions of the Bible read “cowardly”).

What If?

Andrew Napolitano

Judge Andrew Napolitano asks a series of “what if” questions.  All of these “what if’s” appear to already be true.

I was particularly surprised to hear Judge Napolitano ask “What if the States were mere provinces under a totally nationalized and centralized government?”

Judge Napolitano is the first high (or formerly high) government official that I’ve heard of who’s given credence to the “The State vs. this state” hypothesis that I and others have been advocating for over a decade.  Where he refers to “provinces,” I’m inclined to speak of “territories” or “territorial states” (rather than States of the Union).  Perhaps Napolitano’s description (“provinces”) is better than mine (“territories,” etc.).  But if we disagreed as to nomenclature, we apparently agree that the very nature of our State’s governments has been radically changed into something unconstitutional and treasonous.

Former Senator Mike Gravel Accuses the US Gov’t of Immorality, Crimes Against Humanity

Gravel speaking about the National Initiative ...

Image via Wikipedia

Mike Gravel (Democrat) was a Senator from Alaska from A.D. 1969 through A.D. 1981.  He masterminded the creation of the Alaskan oil pipeline.

I’m surprised by his candor in the following video.  At one point, he says, “The US is like a drunkard who charges to war with anyone who might pose a threat.”  I wouldn’t think any politician would be willing to say so much truth.  But he’s been out of office for 30 years and may never have been as corrupt as the treasonous whores who currently populate Washington DC.

Whatever the explanation, Mr. Gravel makes a strong indictment of the U.S. government and its policies. He makes a lot of sense and clearly describes fundamental problems..

Black Friday Riots Evidence of Moral Decay? Or Congenital Silliness?

Buy More Stuff, Black Friday 2010

Image by Michael Holden via Flickr

The first  video was posted about a year ago.  It’s based, in part, on the “Black Friday” riots of A.D. 2010 when video cameras caught Americans trampling each other to get at the Christmas “bargains” in several stores.  The video shows a class of Americans who appear less than noble.  The point to the video is that America has become so materialistic, that it’s losing its dignity.  How are we going to save this country insofar as Washington DC is populated by a bunch of treasonous whores, and more than a few Americans are too ignorant and greedy to even want to be saved?

I’d say this video is “darker” than it needs to be, but it makes a point:   Welcome to the mobocracy.

Dese Indians Be Crazy!

17th century mural of Balarama from a wall han...

Image via Wikipedia

This is one of the damnedest videos I’ve ever seen.  It has nothing to do with legal, political or economic issues.  It may have a lot to do with mental health issues.  It’s just so damned strange that I feel compelled to post the link.

The video is of an talent show in India that, in this case seems to combine America’s “Jackass” TV programs of a few years back with professional wrestling.  The result is bizarre.  Even disturbing.  They’re lucky nobody died.

It’s like something out of Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom.  Only real.

The Warriors of Goja.  Amazing.

Culture Matters

The throne in the Hall of Preserving Harmony

Image via Wikipedia

China’s economy has reportedly grown by 10% or more annually for several years. This rate of growth is deemed so miraculous that China recently bragged that the “Chinese model” is superior to the American economic system.

But is the “Chinese economic model” really superior? Is China really growing at 10% a year? Can that rate of growth be sustained?

I don’t think so. And my reasons aren’t based on China’s technology, resources, or education level. I believe China’s current cultural values are incapable of sustaining a technological economy.

A friend of mine lived in China for a year. She had a guide to show her around. She noticed that her guide would never take her to a couple of restaurants near her home. She asked why, and the guide smiled and offered some lame excuse. A week later, my friend asked again. More lame excuses. After several weeks, my friend forced her guide to tell the real reason why she wouldn’t take her to those two restaurants.

Under pressure, the guide finally admitted the truth: those restaurants served meals made with cat and dog meat and the guide knew that Americans loved their pets and therefore didn’t want to take my friend to eat “pet”.

My friend understood the explanation, but was still curious: Why didn’t the guide simply admit the truth several weeks earlier, when my friend first asked about those restaurants? The guide explained that a primary objective of Chinese culture was to maintain “harmony”—even if one must lie to do so. In essence, the Chinese would rather lie than fight.

Professor Black on Endemic Financial Fraud

the frauds

Professor William K Black led the investigations of the Savings and Loan Crisis of the 1980′s and early 1990′s.  and put 1000 executive crooks in jail. Here’s a recent video of Professor Black explaining that fraud typically underlies virtually all major financial failures.

His speech is powerful, compelling, and suggests that most financial collapses are caused by fraud (criminal activity) rather than mismanagement or accident.

If Professor Black is correct, and if this country is headed for an economic collapse, the fundamental cause for that collapse will not excess unemployment, inflation, or too much debt–the fundamental cause will be a financial system that is dominated by a bunch of crooks.

Barnhardt Capital Management Closes

Then Senator Jon Corzine (D-NJ)

Image via Wikipedia

On November 17th, A.D. 2011, Ann Barnhardt–the president of Barnhardt Capital Management–wrote a letter announcing her decision to close her investment company and explained her reasons for doing so.

She’s closing in reaction to the recent collapse of MF Global–which she attributes to the criminal acts of  MFG president Jon Corzine and the increasingly corrupt nation of American markets.

As you may know, Jon Corzine is: a former governor of New Jersey–one of our nation’s most honest and ethical states; a former member of the U.S. Senate–one of nation’s most honest and ethical institutions; a former CEO of Goldman Sachs–another or our nation’s most honest and ethical institutions; and a member of the Democratic Party–one of the nation’s two most honest and ethical political parties.

Mr. Cozine’s seemingly honest and apparently trustworthy visage appears at right.  He’s even wearing an American flag lapel pin.   (As an aside, you should note that if and when the Antichrist comes, he will not appear as a scowling, antisocial version of Flash Gordon’s Emperor Ming.  Instead, the Antichrist will be highly popular, “likable as Hell,” and probably smiling almost incessantly.  The Antichrist will, in short, emulate Mr. Conzine’s affable appearance–at least, initially.)

Miss Barnhardt’s letter’s candor is astonishing.  If her reasons are correct, the recent collapse of MF Global in the commodities exchange will quite probably trigger an economic event similar to the global recession which followed the collapse of Lehman Brothers in A.D. 2008.
