Patriotic Christmas light display in Virginia ...

A bit of American history.

A cause for national pride.

And a lesson in the significance of the flag.

This is a good one.  It might make your eyes mist over.

This story shows how Fort McHenry’s men shed their blood for the ideal symbolised by the
Flag. The Star-Spangled Banner is thereby infinitely more worthy to be the national anthem
than the one at the time, “Hail Columbia,” idolising the Masonic goddess of “sacred lies
of blood and toil” (please click on my screen name for more) and Master Mason President
Washington. And it’s high-note well-echoes the difficulty of attaining that ideal.
