2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

About 55,000 tourists visit Liechtenstein every year. This blog was viewed about 460,000 times in 2012. If it were Liechtenstein, it would take about 8 years for that many people to see it. Your blog had more visits than a small country in Europe!

College Student Debt

Student debt is now so great that much of it may never be paid.  I suspect that the enormity of student debt will make the younger generation only that much more sensitive to the issue of unpayable debts, and predispose them to refuse to pay the National Debt.

Education is important, even crucial.  Over the past 40 years, Americans have shopped (on credit) until we have just about dropped–into a national or even global depression.  Through it all, we’ve neglected to continue to educate ourselves and we’ve certainly failed to provide  adequately for our children’s educations.  There will be a national price to be paid for our educational failure.

I don’t believe the young people will ever be able to repay the national debt that’s been foisted on them by their irresponsible politicians and parents.  In fact, when it comes to making good on the government’s National Debt, I believe the kids ought to tell the gov-co and senior citizens, “Screw you–you made the debt; you enjoyed the “free lunches” purchased with that debt; and now you want us, your children and grandchildren, to spend our lives in debt bondage in order to pay your debts?!  To hell with that!

9/11: Follow the Money

bush_911nypostMost 9/11 “conspiracy theorists” believe that the 9/11/2001 attacks were caused by elements of our own government.  These “conspiracy theorists” generally assume that the primary objective of the 9/11 attacks was to lay a political foundation for the future enactment of laws favorable to fascism such as the “Patriot Act”.  Up until now, I believed most such “conspiracy theorists” were correct.

However, the video below implies that future enactment of pro-fascist legislation was only a secondary objective.  Instead, the primary purpose for 9/11 may have been to destroy evidence of a pre-existing $240 billion dollar loan (that would allegedly come due on 9/12/2001)and many of the creditors who issued that loan.

I don’t know what the truth is, but it makes more sense to me to suppose that 9/11 was intended to “cancel” a preexisting loan than to implement future fascism.

One of the surprising, some might say gratifying, results of 9/11 is the number of government (FBI, Naval Intelligence, IRS, Military) and corporate “insiders” who might have deduced the cause and perpetrators of 9/11 but who died in those attacks.  Presumably, many of these government “insiders” were treasonous whores who thought they were “connected” and therefore would be safe because they worked for the gangsters who claim to run this country and the world.

Income Redistribution, Obama-Style

According to Wikipedia,

Pigford v. Glickman (1999) was a class action lawsuit against the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), alleging racial discrimination in its allocation of farm loans and assistance between 1983 and 1997. The lawsuit ended with a settlement on April 14, 1999, by Judge Paul L. Friedman of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. To date, almost US$1 billion has been paid or credited to more than 13,300 farmers under the settlement’s consent decree, under what is reportedly the largest civil rights settlement to date. As another 70,000 farmers had filed late and not had their claims heard, the 2008 Farm Bill provided for additional claims to be heard; and in December 2010, Congress appropriated $1.2 billion for what is called Pigford II, the second part of the case.”

That description seems reasonably benign.

But here’s another description of the Pigford II case that’s a little more infuriating.  According to this video (below), a young Senator for Illinois named Barack Obama is responsible for a new law that allowed Pigford II to pass out over a billion dollars to more blacks–many or most of whom had never done any farming and had not been discriminated against by the USDA.

If the video is true, Pigford II is nothing but an extortion racket, and Obama is little more than a con-artist for income redistribution.

Learn the Language or Accept your Status as a Slave

A friend of mine sent me an email based on recent reports that “On Friday, the Senate passed the FISA Amendments Act which gives the government the ability to electronically monitor the phone calls, e-mails and other communications of Americans without a probable cause warrant as long as they can claim that one of the parties to the communication is believed to be outside of the U.S.”

The average American is unconcerned that the FISA Act authorizes the federal government to make warrantless wiretaps of phone calls made from the “U.S.” to Iraq, Iran or Afghanistan.  The vast majority of Americans will never make a call to a foreign country “outside of the U.S.,” so the vast majority don’t care if the government can wire tap calls to foreign countries without a warrant.  But the average American’s indifference to these warrantless wiretaps is based on the assumption that the phrase “outside the U.S.” necessarily applies only to calls made to foreign countries.

My friend, however, asked, “I wonder if ‘outside the U.S.‘ means to the government what it does to us?”

Merry Christmas!

Yes, yes, I know–Christmas has been paganized and commercialized and December 25th is probably not even the actual date of the Christ’s birth.  Instead, the Christ was probably born sometime in the Spring or Fall rather than Winter.  In fact, so far as I know, no living man truly knows the Christ’s actual date of birth.

A lot of people reject Christmas because they know that December 25th is not the Christ’s true birthday.  I respect their opinion

Nevertheless, if the Christ was born, then just because we don’t know his true date of birth, that doesn’t mean that we can’t still celebrate his birth–even if our celebration is on the wrong day.  In the end, we don’t celebrate the exact date of the Christ’s birth so much as the birth itself.   If some of us refuse to celebrate on the “wrong” date, do we ever celebrate that birth at all?  Shall we cease all celebration of the birth simply because we don’t know the exact date?

Here’s a video of people celebrating the birth of Christ.  Even if they’re celebrating on the wrong day and perhaps making other errors,  they’re still celebrating the Christ’s birth.  I can’t see how that celebration would displease the Christ.
