Mandatory Euthanasia for Senior Citizens

This post is probably “much ado about nothing”.  It’s an overreaction to a video that’s a spoof; a joke. The video is kinda like Jay Leno’s “Streetwalking All-Stars” except, here, six or eight morons have been approached and asked to sign a petition supporting euthanasia for old folks in order to cut health care costs.  Amazingly, shockingly, they nod their heads wisely and quickly sign the petition.

I have no idea how many people rejected this petition.  I’d hope that for every one who signed this petition, there were one hundred (at least) who rejected it. But I can’t help thinking that finding the six or eight signatories was achieved without too much trouble.  If so, this video makes me wince.

First, the video implies that American youth (and middle age) have little empathy for the elderly–or little realization that they, too, will soon be elderly.  That lack of empathy suggests the basis for a class war of sorts which could make the elderly “targets” for the young.  Being a senior citizens, I can’t say that I’m pleased by this possibility.  More, I’m actually a little angry at the morons who are willing to subject me to euthanasia to cut health care costs.

Second, the video illustrates just how effing dumb much of the American body politic can be.  These poor, sad, stupid S.O.B.s are so politically malleable that they’ll follow any crazy bastard who runs for public office and suddenly betray any politician or principle they might’ve once supported.   I look at the people who signed this euthanasia petition and begin to wonder if maybe we need euthanasia for morons rather than for senior citizens.  More, I can appreciate cynical politicians who regard these idiots as something to be feared and exploited rather than represented and served.  These effing idiots are scary dumb.

Third, I’ve spent most of the past 30 years trying, first, to learn how our governmental system really functions and, second, learning how to communicate my understanding to others.  I haven’t pursued this knowledge or the communication of that knowledge in order to get rich, and I clearly haven’t become rich.  I pursued and shared whatever knowledge I’ve discovered at my own expense and made most of my findings available for free.

Throughout the 30 years, I’ve had the idea that I was doing the right thing.  I thought that my “sacrifice” would help others.  I still believe that’s true.  But this video makes me wonder if I’ve been just playing the fool for the past 30 years and wasting my life trying to help a bunch of morons who aren’t worthy of my time.   I know that’s not true.  But I’ve seen stray dogs I’d rather help than the seemingly civilized fools who signed the petition in this video.

Fourth, I doubt that we’d be talking–or even joking–about euthanasia except for ObamaCare and its rationing of health care resources and “death panels”.  President Obama has done for euthanasia (and death by drones) what Bill Clinton did for oral sex–he’s put murder on the map.

Yes, I know the video is just a joke.  I know that we old folks oughta lighten up.  But finding some Americans so willing to commit murder (my murder, incidentally) doesn’t inspire my confidence in my fellow man or even in my fellow comedians.

I suppose that it’s just a matter of perspective.  I’m sure that young people will view this video as an hilarious joke–something that belongs on Saturday Night Life.   If I were 20 years younger, I might give this video a big belly laugh.

But, being a senior citizen, I see more weirdness in this video than humor.  I can’t help thinking that, in this video, I’m catching a glimpse of a political attitude that’s funny or weird–but not common, today–that will be much more common in the foreseeable future.

“Cast not your pearls before swine…..they will turn and rend you…etc.”

Can it be that some folks are PIGS? I’ve lived over 68 years and I’ve known a few. They cannot see beyond their own immediate appetite and self-interest.

I say, just give youth some time for wisdom to sink in.

But, sense we are joking, maybe we should keep these petitions and use them against those who signed it.

Further, if you elect me as President of the U.S., I will imprison forever all those in the government who signed the Patriot Act and the NDAA as terrorist against the United States, as the law says. The joke is back on them. Ha!Ha!

My first thought is that most of these (presumed) public school graduates have never heard the word “euthanasia” and have no idea what it means…

I expect the same result from them whenever they encounter any term over two syllables that is not part of the vocabulary in their sit-coms and action movies.

What is scary is their apparent willingness to be manipulated by consensus.

    God help us.

@Adask “I have no idea how many people rejected this petition.”

    It probably went like this:

Everyone who understood what “mandatory euthanasia” means rejected the petition.

Among those who did not understand, Obamacare supporters supported the petition and Obamacare rejecters rejected the petition.

Our public education system has dumbed down the majority. Television, the controlled media, and Hollywood and many of our bought and paid for elected politicians, who have violated their solemn oaths of office, have led to the breakup of the family unit. Practicing Christians who really try to raise their children according to The Bible are becoming extinct. It’s easy to see how people could not even understand the question or the topic of a survey— the majority can no longer understand issues of patriotism, love of family, God. and country. So many of our young people are clueless about what’s at stake now, but some are aware. We can all start by raising our voices, we baby_boomers in support of our veterans. We need to open up our wallets, our eyes, our hearts. We need to stop being so selfish. Children aren’t born understanding about evil. It is the responsibility of the parents, not the state, to teach morality and a work ethic. Americans of all skin colors need to unite and take our country back from those who want to crash or great Republic.

Let us remember these word of song. “America, America, God shed his grace on thee, and crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea.”

With so many people just signing…..I wonder how many didn’t even understand what euthanasia meant, and never asked?!?! Talk about willfully ignorant.

I wonder how much conditioning plays into this. That is, Americans are conditioned (mostly via publik skool) that when presented with a blank form, you simply fill it out — write your name here, date of birth here, SSN here, etc., *SIGN HERE* — without full cognizance of what they’re doing. An interesting experiment would be to have another “petitioner” solicit the same people to sign a petition advocating the exact opposite, e.g. a ban on euthanasia. I suspect most would, indicating they’re perhaps just as stupid about the actual issue as they are about the legal effect of signing whatever is put in front of them. The latter is a powerful tool for the elites to lock people down to legal duties and obligations without them having a clue how they got shafted.

2 Thessalonians 2:11 “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in

These verses state that YHWH will bring a strong delusion. Al, you think you are going to wake people up that YHWH has brought this delusion upon? He has a purpose and that purpose will be fulfilled in spite of any of us.

Isaiah 46:10 “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:”

YHWH does what He pleases, not what pleases us. Maybe Al, He is trying to teach you something.

This display of ignorance and rather shocking immorality by stray petition signers was not worthy of thw widespread dissemination Mr. Adask has accorded it. It grants an undeserved prominence to unworthy ideas and should have been trashed rather than published, .
