People Demonstrate Against Police Militarization

22 Aug

New Hampshire’s motto is “Live Free or Die!”  Apparently, some of the people of that State see those words as something more than a mere advertising slogan.  Some of them believe that motto and therefore don’t want their police department turned into a fascist para-military organization.

Perhaps the American police state has finally grown large enough to trigger the American people’s gag reflex.  ‘Bout time.

The act of resistance in the following video is very cool.

When the people take a lax management style toward their hired help in government, pretty soon the employee starts thinking he’s the boss.

Then, the people find themselves in a situation like we see in so many YouTube videos, where they are fighting a reactive, rather than a proactive, battle against government abuse, with means of questionable effectiveness (as admitted in this video).

Recall what Benjamin Franklin said: a republic if you can keep it.

By keeping a republic, Franklin did not mean living in self-centered fantasyland, and neglecting the duties of citizenship, until things get so bad that all you can do is make protesting noises about what your misbehaving servants are doing with or without your permission.

I suppose this is better than nothing. Or is it?

Emotionally charged, but basically ineffective, public spectacle is one of the New World Order’s favorite ways to neutralize opposition to their nation-devouring plans.

What would have been an enthusiastic strike for We the People is deflected into an enthusiastic gutter ball.

So, is there a track record of success for this type of sensationalized ballyhoo against similar gearing up by local police around the country?

    What does the evidence show?

Remember … Steven King gets his material from this neighborhood.
