Lainey’s First Flight

26 Aug

Nothing political here.  No analysis of the law.   Just a little fun as a dad takes his 6-year old daughter for her first airplane ride.

I think a lot of us might live lives more like Lainey’s and her dad’s if we could just keep the government off our backs and off the backs of foreign nations.

    Yeah Al,
You are right about that. Thank you for sharing this video. It brought tears to my eyes. Though I never have learned to fly an airplane, I did have two beautiful daughters. I was there when each of them proceeded from their mother’s womb. What a marvelous experience! Then I had the pleasure of being their father nurturing them and watching them grow up. Little girls are so precious! Unfortunately, their mother died of illness when the oldest was six and youngest was three. It was quite a chore raising them on my own while running a business. Though I tried, I never did find a suitable mate to help me and just ended up getting my heart broke. I remember teaching them how to swim and play softball, and do many other things, including how to drive when they were old enough. Alas, when puberty sets in, things change, particularly when you allow your children to go to public schools where they learn to not only distrust their parents, but also to rebel against us. Both of my precious daughters rebelled against me and struck out on their own and ended up pregnant by irresponsible boys. The good news is, they both have recovered from their mistakes and have done well, and through them I have 6 grandchildren. Moreover, they finally did realize that “father knows best” and expressed their love and appreciation for me which has relieved the pain I suffered and reassured me that I was successful in pointing them in the right direction notwithstanding the indoctrination they were subjected to in the public school system. Thanks again Al.

what a lovely video, it gave me a lift, I watched my granddaughter yesterday with hose in hand watering the garden, she is six years old, we have a special bond but I know how tough it is to get through those difficult teenage years, so I intend to always enjoy any moment I am blessed that I have with her. I am so glad your story has turned out so well, I just know you count your blessings everyday despite your heart aches, peace and god bless you and your beautiful growing family.

Thank you for the kind words. Every so often I see a story or video on the internet that’s simply a “good” story. I like to publish them on this blog even though they have nothing to do with politics, law or economics. I just hope that some of my audience finds these stories worthwhile. I’m always delighted to hear from a reader who was as touched by the story as I was. Thanks again.
