Understanding the Debt Ceiling

16 Oct

This video actually appeared about two years ago to explain the A.D. 2011 debt ceiling issue. It’s just as relevant today as it was then.  And, just as the message was amusing–but ignored–two years ago, it’s still amusing today–and will probably still be largely ignored.

Fanciful and provocative, but totally missed the crux of the problem. The banknote scheme is constructed to automatically compel ever-increasing amounts of currency into existence by the necessity of servicing complex compounding interest on it … infinitely. This confabulation was presumed to be contained by global co-ordination of interest rates through the network of ‘Central Banks’. This notion is now proving to have been self-delusion … in the extreme.

This is a better explanation than the subject video …
