My guest tonight will be Eric Philpot–the Pastor at the Cross Life Church that I attend.  That church is non-501(c)3.  Pastor Eric is a former infantry officer in the US Army, currently supports himself as an executive in a concrete production plant, and funds the church out of his own pocket. In the 6 or 8 months I’ve attended, no one has ever passed a hat or a collection plate to fund the church.  That impresses me–not because I’m cheap, but it’s evidence that Pastor Philpot is “for real” and not in it for the money.

Pastor Philpot is outspoken, articulate, passionate and spiritual.  He is not politically correct.  If things go well, this may be an excellent program

I’m looking forward to our 2 hour interview.

If you have any questions about religion that you’d like us to consider, please call in at 1-800-596-8191

@ He is not politically correct.
    OH NO !!!!
I do sincerely hope that things do go well. The Prince of the power of the “air” is on the job. I think the “long standing problem” will see to it that things do go well.

Is there a way to listen to this program again? If so, how.

I don’t think I’ve heard a single song by Eva Cassidy that I don’t like. The woman’s talent was extraordinary, and her story tragic. The first time I heard her sing, I thought she musti’ve been a folk singer out of the 1960s that I’d somehow missed. She was so good that I couldn’t imagine how I’d missed her. And then I found out that she’d died before she’d ever achieved any fame. One of the few truly sad stories that I’ve ever heard of. Over the Rainbow is absolutely classic. Dancing Cheek to Cheek is fine. Remarkable talent And yet, in the videos I’ve seen of her, I’ve always thought I could see a sadness as if she knew that she would perish before she achieved any fame.
