Civil Asset Foreclosure in Two Minutes

09 Jun

In essence, if the cop merely suspects that your money might’ve been associated with a crime, he can take it from you without a warrant, without a trial, without a conviction.   It’s an exaggeration to say so, but under civil asset forefeiture laws, if I were a cop and I claimed to “suspect” that you were the gunman on the “grassy knoll” who may’ve killed Kennedy  back in A.D. 1963, I could take whatever money you have without ever proving my suspicions were correct.

The DODGE Viper spoken of in the 2-minute video is, according to: ” in Camden County, Ga., a $90,000 Dodge Viper for the county’s DARE program; ” as just to the right of Table 1 read to so far, of see also; ” Only eight states bar the use of state forfeiture proceeds by law enforcement. ” = __ + __ + __ + __ + __ + __ + __ + __ . plus in reference to: “A judge will then determine if the assets are to be forfeited; if forfeited, ownership of the assets is transferred to the government.” of here in New Hampshire, that when of $1,500 or more in value is in dispute us Article 12 inhabitants are enTITLEd to a trial by jury as supposed to be a guarantee by Article 20 of the N.H. Constitution, Part First & Bill of rights; see also: the Morrison v. Bedell case, Vol 22 NH REPORTS 234-245 @ page 239 (Grafton County, Dec. Term 1850) “the books abound with authorities to show that debt is the proper form of action to recover a penalty or forfeiture created by statute”.
