What Americans Fear Most

23 Feb

We are not the lunatic fringe.  The kinds of ideas we consider, explore and embrace on blogs like this one are “mainstream”.  Not “Mainstream Media,” of course, but “mainstream” nonetheless.  The reason we don’t think of ourselves as “mainstream” is that we’re not portrayed that way by government and the Mainstream Media.

The following video illustrates that most our concerns are taken seriously by most Americans.

People are afraid of “the government” mostly because they don’t know how to live, who they are, and how to use “the government” to serve them and not serve “the government”. And that’s just the way the men and women who act as “the government” like it.

Excellent post Al… It’s also alarmingly true that that vast majority of Americans are too easily led around by the nose, which is both sad and frustrating.

Well that is a worthwhile post.. thanks… the question is why are the people scared of their servants? their creation which they can “throw off” at any time, or simply “alter or abolish”????

The people are afraid because they don’t know that they have ALL the power -even individually. They don’t even know that they don’t know.

I’d guess that the people are afraid because they see that the people who are charged with obeying the law, are openly breaking the law. More, they don’t know where to turn. If they form anti-government groups, they fear being identified as “terrorists” or some such.

But mostly, I’d guess they’re afraid because they feel alone. They see things happening with their own eyes and yet the mainstream media discourages them from believing their own eyes, discourages them from understanding they are not alone, discourages them from believing the problems are systemic, and encourages them to believe they are all alone in their observations and fears.

But a tide or awareness is rising. Trump is evidence of that tide. We don’t like our government. We don’t respect the lawbreakers in our government. We long for justice and that justice includes identifying the crooks and running them out of office or trying them for treason.

In a few more years, it may be dangerous to be a government-approved lawbreaker. Such people may wind up dancing on the end of a rope.

Trump is saying things out loud, in very public places that many people like to hear and want to say with a louder voice. Beware though, when he changes his tune.

If Hillary danced “on the end of a rope”, does anyone think gov’t approved lawbreakers would get the message?
