Ammon Bundy & Brother Found “Not Guilty”

Ammon Edward Bundy (born September 1, 1975) is an American car fleet manager who led armed militants in the 2016 occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.

He is the son of rancher Cliven Bundy, who was the central figure of the 2014 Bundy standoff regarding unpaid grazing fees on federally-owned public land.

Ammon Bundy, his brother Ryan, and five other defendants were charged by the federal government for conspiracy and weapons violations in the “occupation”.

According to the October 27th New York Times,

.

“PORTLAND, Ore. — Armed antigovernment protesters led by Ammon and Ryan Bundy, charged in the takeover of a federally owned Oregon wildlife sanctuary in January, were acquitted Thursday of federal conspiracy and weapons charges.

“The surprise verdict in Federal District Court was a blow to the government, which had argued that the group used force and threats of violence to occupy the reserve, impeding the federal workers there. But the jury appeared swayed by the occupiers’ contention that they were protesting government overreach and posed no threat.

“In a sign of the high tensions throughout the trial, Ammon Bundy’s lawyer, Marcus R. Mumford, was restrained by four United States Marshals in courtroom tussle after the verdict on Thursday. He was enraged that the Bundys were not being immediately released.”

.

Defense attorney Marcus Mumford was not merely “restrained,” he was tased.  Judging from his video interview (below) he was not enraged.  He was merely asking by what authority the U.S. Marshals might continue to detain the defendants after they’d been found Not Guilty.  He was reportedly surrounded by U.S. Marshals, threatened with charges of “resisting arrest,” knocked to the floor and then tased.  In court.

What a circus.  What a story.  What a movie (I’m thinking Brad Pitt with a beard).

Yahoo! Spies for Government

Constitution.com posted an article entitled, “‘Unconstitutional’: Yahoo secretly scanned all incoming emails for US intelligence”.

According to that article:

.

Reuters just reported that the Internet/email company Yahoo Inc. created a custom software program to search all of its customers’ incoming emails to comply with a ‘classified government directive.’

“[Yahoo!] complied with a classified U.S. government demand, scanning hundreds of millions of Yahoo Mail accounts at the behest of the National Security Agency or FBI, said three former employees and a fourth person apprised of the events.”

.

A lot of people, myself included, are infuriated by Yahoo!’s betrayal of American privacy.  A lot of former Yahoo! email customers are changing to other email providers that offer “end-to-end encryption” and other technological devices that guarantee government can’t read their emails.

I’m not joining them.  I’ve had the same Yahoo! email account (alfredadask@yahoo.com) for most of 13 years and I don’t plan to change anytime soon.  After all, I really don’t have anything to hide (except the detonators, of course), so I’m not enraged by Yahoo!’s spying–in fact, I like it.

Judge Jeanine: Brexit is just the beginning

A little over the top at times, but all-in-all, a pretty good rant.

It really is “time to take this country back.”  It’s been that “time” for a long time.  Maybe this “time” (election) it will start to happen.

FBI & State Police Attempt a HIT on Jeff Weinhaus

Both of the following videos are extraordinary and appalling.  They record an A.D. 2010 shooting of Jeff Weinhaus by FBI and police officers.

First, the video is appalling in that law enforcement lured Weinhaus to a meeting and then tried to murder him for no apparent reason other than willful failure to kiss ass.

Second, it’s appalling that if government shoots a black man, all hell breaks loose, but when government shoots a white man, nobody seems to care.

Third, it’s appalling that this video was posted on February 14th, A.D. 2016, and, so far (after nearly two months on YouTube), it’s reportedly received only 36,063 views.  Maybe that’s because the shooting took place almost six years ago.  Still, this video should go viral.  Public indifference to this shooting is scarier than the shooting itself.

One of the best things you can do to prevent future murders or attempted murders by government thugs is to send a link to this video to everyone on your email list.  If we can make the video go viral, we can slow the government down.  If we ignore the video and don’t “push it” to others, our indifference will encourage government to shoot even more Americans.

If you don’t care enough to protest when others get shot, don’t expect others to protest when you get shot.

The Shot Heard ‘Round the ‘Hood

Baltimore Police: On the Offensive or Defensive? [courtesy Google Images]

Baltimore Police: On the Offensive or Defensive?
[courtesy Google Images]

Earlier tonight (Tuesday, April 28th), the Washington Times published a “breaking news” article entitled “Baltimore protesters defy 10 p.m. curfew, remain in streets.”  The headline is pretty much self-explanatory.  The Baltimore city government issued a curfew that ordered the Baltimore people off the streets by 10PM.  The rioters refused to obey.  So far, the city couldn’t or wouldn’t enforce.

Now what?  Will cops start to shoot rioters out after 10PM or will the rioters be emboldened by the city government’s inability to to enforce its order by more looting and setting fire to more stores?

Here’s a video of one skirmish between what may have been 30 to 50 Baltimore police and about 15 to 20 black teens.  You’d think the cops could easily handle these teens, but the cops are on their good behavior and not shooting the rioters.  The rioters are are throwing rocks, bottles and chunks of concrete.  The cops are blocking the projectiles with their shields.  Then the cops break ranks and make a “trot” for it to get out from under the flying rocks.  (The cops would’ve made a “run” for it, but they were generally a little too fat to run, so they trotted.)

Thoughts on Freddie Gray Protest

This following video is full of profane language.  It’s also full of much raw truth.
